When life gives you dandelions, dandelion wine! https://commonsensehome.com/dandelion-wine-recipe/

Now there's an idea! Drink some of this, and then you won't care quite as much. :)

Yeah, and if you like it, you’ll welcome the next crop to spring up.

Worth a try.😊

Thanks! Dandelions are just one of my nemeses.

I might have to go back and revisit my dandelion series

Carole, I feel your displeasure. But I’ve decided to let them stay in my yard. Dandelions have so many medicinal uses! And I’ve given up on my lawn. My back and side yards are all rocks and gravel, with a round patio made of stone slabs. I’ve put up gobs of bird feeders and and bird houses and bird baths. This year I plan to transition from grass (actually, mostly weeds and moss) to ground cover plants that will spread. But I no longer plan to pluck out those dandelions. Plus I love blowing on them when they turn white and making a wish!

I used to like to blow on them when I was a kid—almost gave my dad a heart attack or a stroke every time I did it. 🤣

The blossoms are pretty good dipped in batter and fried.

Anything dipped in batter and fried is good!

Or with bacon. Jim Gaffigan calls bacon bits the fairy dust of condiments.

One of my favorite Gaffigan comedy sketches!

You’re describing the situation accurately.

Thanks for the restack, Lique!

They sure look beautiful in the grass, especially when they're all blooming. But they multiply quicker than rabbits.

I let them grow to bring happiness with their yellow faces!
