After a dreadful heat wave, comes comfort and relief— a steady, heavy downpour with thunder that is brief! Many plants are now rejoicing and striving to grow tall. They stand up, stems are straightening, their leaves no longer fall. The grass is looking greener; its thirst is finally quenched. Cool rain is so refreshing to soil when it gets drenched, and, defying torrid weather, when summer does its worst, some plants will keep surviving until the next cloudburst.
Personally, I'm not fond of rain, but nowadays it lets the air cool, and I know the flowers and trees and plants are soaking in it, so that understanding makes me happy (even though my hair goes poof~~ 🤨). Your poem sounds like it is written on their behalf. 😎

I don’t like getting rain on my head, but I always celebrate a day where everything else gets wet. Not too much, though!😊
