Perched high upon the precipice, up where the air is thin, you’ve come to join the rest of us, the highest that you’ve been. With skills and instincts you’re endowed, so use them now to fly! Set your sights on highest clouds when aiming for the sky. Fly, fly, take to the sky! The world is waiting there. Spread your wings and say goodbye, and fly with skill and care. With wings now wide and elegant, aloft, you’ll rise and sail. Sharp eyes, alert and vigilant, you’ll see the fine details. Remember those who offered aid, who challenged you to grow. who made sure you were not afraid to show all that you know. Fly, fly, take to the sky! The world is waiting there. Spread your wings and say goodbye, Fly higher, take the dare! And teach the others that you meet so they may thrive, like you. Be helpful, honest and discreet, and to yourself, be true. Now, venture off the precipice, take to the open air! Your territory’s limitless-- just do it all with care. Fly, fly, take to the sky! The world is waiting there. Spread your wings and say goodbye. You can go anywhere! And fly, my friends, may you be well! The time has come to part. But you are ready, I can tell you’ve gotten a good start! Fly, fly, take to the sky! The world is waiting there. Spread your wings and say goodbye! May all your winds be fair! This is my fifth year of writing a poem for my graduating radiology residents. Actually, that's back in the time where poetry got started for me. These residents have worked hard, and they deserve much credit and a decent tribute. I decided to mix it up a little this time by making the poem into a song. I haven't yet decided which version will be best to play at their graduation dinner, still a couple of weeks off, where we all have a few minutes to say something to honor them. I'd like to keep everybody awake. That's where you can help. Let me know which song version you like the best.

Pop Rock version is mine. Great work , your graduates will appreciate this. I can see and feel their hearts swell with anticipation for the future and what it will bring to them.
What, no modular synth version?
